What is the cost for KMX Mobile Security
Shredding's service?
For a one-time purge service, the two main factors that will determine
your cost are the amount of paper you need shredded and how quickly
you need service. If you are interested in scheduled service the two
factors that determine the cost are the number of collection bins
at your facility, and the service interval (monthly, weekly, etc.).
What is on-site shredding?
On-site shredding is a premium service, giving you the highest level
of security for your document shredding program. With this method,
KMX Mobile Security Shredding sends a specialized mobile paper shredding
truck to your location to perform the shredding. You can visually
verify the entire process and have the peace of mind knowing that
all of your paper is totally destroyed when we pull away from your
parking lot.
What type of shredding process
is used by KMX Mobile Security Shredding?
KMX Shredding uses a Pierce-and-Tear shredding system. This system
tears the paper at the fiber instead of cutting it, which results
in a random and more secure shred size than standard strip-cut shredders.
Should I remove
staples, paperclips, or binder clips?
No, you do not have to remove staples, paperclips, or binder clips
from your paper before shredding. We can also shred the metal tabs
on file folders.
What should I be shredding?
We encourage you to shred all paper leaving your facility. It is the
only way to protect your organization from identity theft and corporate
espionage. It improves your ability to comply with the numerous laws
and regulations covering information security as well. The following
list includes several types of information that should be shredded:
- Banking information
- Social Security numbers
- Checks
- Credit card receipts
- Customer names & addresses
- Obsolete contracts

- Proposals
- Proprietary information
